Cannabis and weight gain?

Just out of curiosity since someone is trying to say my weight gain came from my cannabis use. Has anyone in the program gained massive amounts of weight strictly from cannabis? Usually when I use, I don't get the munchies, but there are some strains that do cause that. I know every strain has different effects. There are studies that cannabis causes lower body mass indexes so i'm just curious to hear your input.
