“I firmly believe that God will give you the desires of your heart; I’ve always had the desire to start a family.”

This is from one of his vlogs today. I’ve commented this before but I cannot get over how weird this is to constantly hear as a woman!

Nobody is owed a partner just because they want one. When he loses weight — which he has and that should be applauded and I hope he continues to lose weight and most importantly build better habits — you don’t just get a government-issued or Jesus-issued girlfriend.

You still have to be a good person and love yourself first. And you generally have to see women as people, and not just baby makers — which seems to be the case for him for all the time he uses the word “procreate.”

From the way he talks about women to his obsession with retaining muscle and eating protein, podcast friends that are visiting the White House in this administration and generally homophobic and shitty idols that he’s talked about (namely Chris Pratt and Charlie Kirk), it seems like this journey has been a result of being sucked into the manosphere rather than wanting to be a happier and healthier person.

There’s also an implication in this language that women would never want to date someone fat, which is blatantly untrue and borderline misogynistic. I wish he would stop talking about women as wombs and focus on himself first. If he didn’t spend all his time thinking about his imaginary tradcon wife, he would open up a lot of time to reflect and repair his relationship with so many other things that need repair: namely food, fasting, binging, self-confidence and masculinity.
