Having a memory crisis: Didn't CIG say they would do a full wipe at 1.0?

I know that this information is likely outdated and not accurate, but I feel like I remember a big fuss about 'CIG wiping their database at 1.0 so everyone has a similar start.' I've tried asking AI to search for some of these comments and can't find any. It's all "No more wipes" not "one final wipe."

Does anyone remember CIG talking about a 1.0 wipe even if it's no longer accurate?
