Kody protecting his daughters

It seems to be Kody’s self described duty to protect his daughters. He’s had awkward talks with Mitch, Tony and Caleb about sex and expectations before marriage and to not hurt his daughters. Doesn’t the same hold try for Leon and their partner? And Gwendolyn and her partner? Why didn’t Kody have that same awkward chat?
