AI app builders are making it easier to create apps, but harder to create something original.

Not to be dramatic, but it feels like every week there’s a new AI App Builder like Emergent, Lovable, Replit, Rocket.new, etc. claiming to replace developers and make app creation effortless

Cool, right? Except most people use those AI app builders to build yet another “AI productivity tool that helps you stay focused” or “AI note app with a twist.”

It’s starting to feel like AI isn’t democratizing app creation… it’s just mass-producing mediocrity faster.

Like, the tech is impressive: Emergent, Lovable, Replit and Bolt especially nail usability and speed, but maybe the problem isn’t building apps anymore. It’s building something worth using.

So here’s my question:

Are AI App Builders helping innovation or just flooding the internet with prettier clones?
