Question. Has anyone ever experienced an adult female cat ’suddenly’ hate a younger male cat once he hits puberty

The two cats I’m referring to is Thunder (f 6 all black with a naturally sky high attitude) and Boxer (m 5 orange tabby). We got Boxer about a year after Thunder when she was mostly out of the kitten stage and he was a preteen, yet to hit puberty. At first she was like his surrogate mother, looked after him like he was one of her own… until puberty hit and he… got a lil horny and she wasn’t a fan at all. (Boxer had/has a heart murmur so the surgery got put on the back burner while we discussed the best course of action to getting him neutered which he is) anyways, that was in late 2019/early 2020 and she STILL hisses at him if she even sees him. Even if he’s minding his own damn business on the other side of the house she hisses. There are mini fights that last a couple of seconds, USUALLY because Boxer can’t read body language and wants to play like with the other cats (but Boxer is also the ball buster of the house with everyone, human, cat,dog, doesn’t matter, if it breathes oxygen it’s a target for an occasional single slap)

Recently things have gotten a lil better as in all the cats will occasionally sleep on my parents bed and she finally started to eat dinner near him vs waiting for him to finish (sometimes).

Is this normal or is this her attitude talking (one of her nicknames is Ms. THANG because her attitude is so high)? And is there anything I can do to help repair their relationship so she’s at least civil with him? Or is this just something we gotta deal with?

My biggest reason for asking now is because before horny Boxer, I was both of their primary human and they spent most of the time in my room and thunder would play fetch with me and actually watch movies with me, I have video of her watching the conjuring 2 and one of the tinker bell movies. And I loved falling asleep with her sleeping on my back (stomach sleeper).. Now, as my mom puts its, “she’s my dads bitch”, solely because thunder won’t let her so much as put a hand on his shoulder. And I miss the connection we had & if I wanna spend anytime with her I gotta go to my parents room where she’ll be all over me wanting pets
