What Makes Women's Hair Attractive
This Makes Women's Hair Attractive
- Length - While women with attractive faces are able to wear a variety of hair lengths and still remain highly attractive, medium and long hair lengths can significantly improve the attractiveness of women with less attractive faces (Mesko et al., 2004).
- Color - Overall, people are considered most attractive when their hair color is similar to their skintone (Fink et al., 2017). While warm blonde hair was perceived as the healthiest and most attractive in combination with light skin, darker hair colors are perceived as healthier and more attractive, especially in women with darker skin color.
- Diameter and Density - Higher hair density is perceived as most attractive; however, a higher individual hair strand diameter was perceived as less positive. So, a higher density of fine hair was perceived overall as most attractive (Fink et al., 2016).
- Style - Straight hair was perceived to be healthier and about 5 years younger compared to wavy hair.
Out of these hairstyles, 5 and 7 in particular were deemed to be older than other styles.
