How can I make my room smell good with both a kitten and a cockatiel in the apartment?

Hello, I have a 4 month old kitten whose litter box lives in my room. I use SoPhresh fragrance free odor control paper pellets. I always scoop it immediately after she poops and I replace the litter every week.

I want my bedroom to smell good, but I’m not sure how to do that. Typically I’d use candles but my roommate (same apt, different room) has a cockatiel. I don’t know anything about birds and I’m trying to find a way I can make my room smell good that will be safe for both my kitten and my roommate’s cockatiel.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I’m hoping to find a solution soon but want to make sure both animals are safe.
