Entire subs are removing people with post/hide feature being used and this is gatekeeping
I knew they would do that as their next step for power and control
Before, they abused people by obsessively digging through people's history to get them removed from a subreddit. Now, they have resorted to not allowing anyone who won't let you view their history in.
-
Looking at people's history to find something to say to get them alienated from a community is how they tried to remove people from communities when they weren't breaking any rules.
-
If they couldn't dig something up to try to get someone alienated by the community, they would also try to dig up anything that could get them removed because of a rule.
- If they couldn't find anything, they would obsessively watch you to claim you break a rule somehow.
- Since they can't do that anymore, entire subreddits have resorted to not allowing anyone in who uses the feature so that they can continue to do (1) and (2).
That is obsessive behavior that only happens among the most highly engaged Redditors who go to those subreddits every day. It's aggressive and it's called gaming the system.
