Back to Boarding - Lib Tech vs Arbor
Hey y'all I'm looking to get back into boarding and I'm trying to figure out what board to get. I'm 6'2", 210 lbs and currently live on the Ice Coast. Last time I boarded I didn't know anything about shapes or types of boards and ended up on a flat/rocker snub-nosed flexible park board. I'm more into deep carving than anything park related so I'm planning to get something in the 159-162 wide range.
I learned to board in Colorado just mostly on my own and am only now realizing through all this research that the board I got was a big factor in why I felt like I didn't always have a ton of grip or I had to work hard to push down to set my edge well.
I'm looking mostly at Lib Tech Skunk Ape and Dynamo, and the Arbor Coda. Being on the East Coast now I like the idea of having the edge tech to assist in the ice since I'm a bit less confident. I'm leaning towards a camber/mostly camber board and avoiding the deep rocker in the hybrid like the Lib Tech T Rice or other c2x styles
has anyone ridden the Skunk, Dynamo, and or Coda? Or have other recommendations? Wondering how they compare subjectively other than demoing them all myself lol
