renting in the GTA

hello y’all both my partner and I (27yrs old) are looking to move out of our family homes. We’re looking to rent in the GTA (etobicoke, Vaughan, Mississauga). I have a 20k annual salary and my partner 40k roughly. I have 20k saved up and our credit scores are okay 650&740.

the environments just getting really toxic and we want to leave as soon as possible and I’m looking to ask y’all for any help or suggestions you may have

we want an apartment with 1 bedroom, laundry ensuite and pets allowed (cat). Our budget was $1,500 but that’s not possible at all and we’re willing for $2,000.

Is there any hope for us?
