Pneumaturia gas when peing possible fistula caused by Diverticulitis

Hi All, first time posting but have gotten lots of group from this group.

I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis in January of last year I had a complex case of Diverticulitis where I had to have a few days in hospital on antibiotics and then had to have an abscess drain. I had a colonoscopy a few months after and confirmed I have some diverticula. I am 33 years old male.

I have been coping well the last few months. I had a mid flare up that I managed without antiobtics about a week and a half/ two weeks ago. Everything was almost settled but when having a sit down pee I felt gas but could believe it. I then had gas two days later when I was at urinal at work and went to doctor that day. They did a urine test and I currently on antiobtics for UTI. I have been having gas when I pee at least once or twice a day since and some discomfort when peeing but have been able to manage symptoms mostly ok.

My doctor is referring me further tests to see if I have fistula and then see from then.

Has anyone anyone had a similar situation before ? So far I am feeling ok I have had a few days of antiobtics but worried about what might come with this.
