AIO about my bf quiting his job?

So in simple terms, I (F26) and my partner (M24) are bumping heads more often. He works as a mechanic as a small rinky dinky dealership. His boss has been inconsistent on his pay so hes getting tired and wants to leave— understandably so. What I dont understand is that he hasn’t done anything for work since friday and its tuesday. He’s a felon and has a horrible driving record so jobs are limited. Im supporting practically all of my daughters stuff bc well it is my child - (it’s his step child) so I’m not even obligating him to contribute for her… now hes currently on the way to his other friend’s house who is also a mechanic to probably sit their, smoke, and make no type of money whatsoever. While I’m working … I told him that his mindset is very teenager. He thinks opportunities will just fall out the sky. If you want to count us living w his mother as one of his bills then sure. I want stability and a future… am I overreacting ? I truly would be looking for stuff left and right not whenever it pops up. Its the lack of urgency to provide for the family… let me know your thoughts -

Side note. I know he’s younger than me and that is to be expected of younger men, but that is also not true. Ive met men that were 4 years younger with their shit & priorities together.
