Can college help with housing even if they're not in the same county?

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right place, so if it isn’t, I’d really appreciate being signposted somewhere else.

I’m a student and my family home is in a different county from my college. I’m struggling with overcrowding at home, which is affecting my wellbeing. I have SEN and an EHCP.

There aren’t enough rooms in our house, so someone has to sleep downstairs, and it’s causing a lot of arguments and distress. I also can’t always access the kitchen to cook food, which adds to the stress.

I’m wondering if my college can provide any support — for example, writing a supporting letter, referring me to welfare or safeguarding services, or advising on what practical help might be available, even though my home is in a different county?

Even if it's getting more points to move a person out?
