Sorry but I have to rant, Reddit has some really negative people.

I am kinda in a bad financial situation but surviving. I am in college and sadly can't work as much as before since I have assignments. Having said that, I was into acting for some years and now I am in college for political science and law. I was trashed and was said that I need therapy.

They told me I shouldn't even have considered an acting path since its for nepo babies and how my major is oversaturated and I need to drop college and get into trades. I said I am not into any trades and I am actually good with academics, I have As and I am trying to get into a top 50 university. I was downvoted and said I need therapy.

Why are those people like that? Some of them claim to be rich, why would they be on a poverty sub? I am feeling I shouldn't be posting any advice seeking topics.
