Thoughts on the Ferragamo Soft Hug? What color would you get?
I can't stop thinking about the Ferragamo Soft Hug since I tried it on a few days ago. It's kind of exactly what I've been looking for for work and professional settings, but I can also see myself using it outside of work. It has that elegant and polished look I'm seeking. The only hesitation I have is the longevity of the bag. I don't usually care if a bag is considered dated - I just like and wear what I like. But I feel like this bag is quite trendy at the moment, and since I do plan to use this in professional settings, I'm a bit worried that it will see too "of a certain time" in a few years. What do we think? Will this bag be really dated and passé in 5-10 years?
I also can't decide on a color. Right now, I'm thinking of:
- Black - I should probably go with the black. It's classic, elegant, perfect for work, and also great outside of work. It would also fulfill my quest for an elegant and polished black work bag/tote. But also, I like colors.
- Blue - My favorite color in general! I love bright blues. I tried on the medium hug in Klein Blue, and I'm obsessed. But I can't tell if this is Klein Blue or not. It's more muted in the photos than Klein Blue was in person, but it's hard to know if that's a lighting and photography thing or an actual difference in color. I found this bag on the Mexico Ferragamo site that does list it as Klein Blue, but general research also shows this color as "Sapphire." I do like the color below, so if it came in as a more muted, slightly deeper blue like below, I'd still be happy with it. But if that's the case, I feel like I'd still be compelled to get another bag in the actual Klein Blue. Also, I would still be looking for a black work bag/tote if I go with this one. It is priced lower than the black on the site I found this on, so that's always a plus.
- College Red - I'm torn on this color because I can't tell what it looks like in real life, and my store didn't have this color in stock to view. If it's more brown-toned like the photo below, I'm not sure it's the color for me. But if it's more red/burgundy like I've seen in other photos, I would like it. I'm just note sure. Also, like the blue, I would still be looking for a black work bag/tote if I went with this one.
- Peach-pink - I think this is such a pretty color! I love how feminine it is, which is very much in line with my aesthetic/style, but how it's done in a way that is still really elegant, elevated, and appropriate for work. But is it too much of a spring-summer color when I want to wear this bag year-round? (I know, I know, wear what you want when you want, and I do, but I also want to take all factors into consideration.) Also, I know lighter colors can require more care. And like the others, I would still be looking for a black work bag/tote if I went with this one.
Any thoughts on the Ferragamo Soft Hug in general, or on what color to go with?
