03 forester hill holder valve.
I recently picked up an 03 forester in manual. It has a leaking hill holder valve. I read elsewhere that disconnecting the cable stops putting pressure and will prevent it from leaking fluid. However I just noticed that my brake fluid is pretty low. After reading further, anytime the brake are pressed, it is pressurized and will leak.
I figured I could just plug the line and have that be that. But someone said that it is inline with the brakes and a hydraulic tee fitting must be used?
If anyone has any insight or tips on how to stop this leak without replacing the hill holder I’d appreciate it. The hill holder is a $600 part for a feature I do not like.
