We launched an online clothing store selling sustainable basics. First few months were rough but we expected that. The real problem wasn't traffic, it was conversions. We were getting decent visitors but people just weren't buying. Cart abandonment was 87%.

We tried the usual stuff first. Added trust badges, SSL cert, money back guarantee, better return policy. Didn't move the needle. Then we got obsessed with product photography and SEO for months. Maybe got us from 25 orders to 35 orders a month. Still terrible.

Around month 8 I tried Trustpilot. Worked okay but felt clunky importing stuff manually. Then I played with Yotpo but it felt bloated and pricing was painful for a young store.

My college roommate was visiting and I was venting about this. He said, "Why aren't you just showing real customer feedback on your site?" and recommended Feedspace( [gowith.link/0gu2uhG](http://gowith.link/0gu2uhG) ). I was skeptical since we already had reviews scattered everywhere.

Set it up anyway. Collected video testimonials and written reviews from existing customers. Built a simple wall of testimonials on our homepage and product pages. Honestly wasn't sure if it would make any difference but figured I'd give it a shot at this point.

Week 1: Nothing. We'd still been running our usual Meta ads and Google campaigns, burning through ₹500-700 like we always did, getting the same mediocre results. Week 2: Still nothing. But around day 12 or 13, something clicked. Daily orders jumped from 1 or 2 to suddenly 5 or 6, then 8 to 10. By the end of that month we hit 78 orders.

New customers were spending way more time reading testimonials before buying. It was the only thing that changed.

I think what worked was that testimonials felt real because they were. People could see actual customers saying specific things they liked. Way more credible than any trust badge.

Over the next three months our orders kept climbing. Last month (February) we did 128 orders with ₹2.3L in sales. That's more than triple what we were doing before.

Not shilling for Feedspace specifically, there's probably other tools that do similar things. But people just needed to see real customers who'd actually bought and were happy.

Looking back, visitors just didn't believe we were legit. Small brand selling online and people are naturally skeptical. Is this actually a real company or some drop shipping scam? All the badges didn't help because they're generic. But actual customers with their names, saying "I bought this and it's good quality" made the difference. Once people saw other real humans vouching for us, the trust barrier disappeared. That February spike was entirely organic from customers sharing their experience.

Our Monthly Orders Were Stuck at 30 to 40 Until We Fixed This One Thing
