Foreign research intern

Guyz I'm in 3 year electronics I wanted to has anyone done foreign research intern and what was the process and all..what was the cgpa how much it matters... currently I'm in 5 sem till what sem we can apply for research intern/india or out of india..8 sem ke baad summer sem mei kr skte hain ?
