Writhing Wall Phase 1 End Question

I sadly missed the end of Phase 1 of the Writhing Wall event. For those that witnessed it, was there any visual change when it ended? I only see a new quest from Skordo, but I wonder if there was actually something happening when the Phase 2 started?
