For those who took Math 126E - Web Remote, do professors usually require students to meet at the required times, or are those optional?

Math 126E precalculus I requires meeting times through teleconference tech. I'm looking for a professor for Math 126E that doesn't require students to meet at the required times. Is there such a thing? TIA
