alleged ranked manipulation

Hi, I’m new to Reddit and I’m posting this out of frustration. Basically, I was banned for allegedly participating in rank manipulation. I played around 13 games with a friend (out of 95), and apparently he sold his account, which then got banned. I had no prior knowledge that he intended to sell the account, and I obviously had no control over it. I was simply queueing with a friend because I was frustrated playing with teammates I couldn’t communicate with through voice chat.

I find it extremely unfair that I’m being penalized for something I had no control over and that doesn’t involve any intentional rank manipulation from my side. I think the new system Riot implemented completely misses the spirit of the rule and ends up creating real injustice and frustration for players.

After looking around, I found out a lot of other people are in the same situation. Some even considered quitting the game, myself included. I’ve enjoyed this game for 10 seasons, but I can’t feel the same way about it anymore. It feels like the community is being treated like lab rats for half-baked solutions meant to benefit new players.

I always tried my best every game: playing to win, keeping a good mentality, and making the best decisions I could. Seeing results made me happy, and now that’s been taken away. When I tried contacting support, I received what felt like a bot response. I opened a second ticket and got the same reply. That really made me feel like Riot doesn’t care anymore, and it’s one of the reasons I’m thinking of quitting.
