Hello everyone and I hope you're all okay today.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

I wonder if anyone can help me. I received my record of proceedings audio yesterday and it confirmed what I already knew - that they straight up lied in their statement of reasons.

They stated on paper that I got up and left without asking permission (like I'm a child and should have to ask permission anyway, really?). But in actual fact the audio proves that I asked for a break, the judge then confirmed and asked if I wanted a break and I said yes and he said okay we'll take a break. So they lied.

The rest of their statement of reasons is literally nitpicking at things to try and use against me but at the same time omitting supporting evidence that would help me. For instance in the tribunal they grilled me about the therapy I was going to for 12 weeks and then never mention it in their statement of reasons or the reason why I go to therapy. I was raped 20 years ago. I have also recently been diagnosed with autism and adhd.

The whole process is massively unfair and we as normal people untrained in law are up against judges who are lying through their teeth and there's nothing we can do apart from spot their errors in law and research them to make sure we have grounds for appeal. It's hard work and completely understandable why people give up.

Any opinions on this and if I have a legal grounds to have the decision go back to tribunal based on errors of law? Mostly procedural unfairness, misrepresentation by omitting supporting relative evidence and the straight up LIE they told about me leaving. It proves that their decision making and reasoning behind it are flawed.
