Skiathos and Skopelos

Hi, me and my mate are currently planning to go to greece in August 2026. She's planning to come out for 2, thinking do a few days on Skiathos, a few days on Skopelos then the rest at my house on the mainland.

We'll both be 19 at the time so car rental is difficult and expensive. I'm considering bringing my car over for the summer (which i have done before) as i'd be staying there all month anyway and a car is necessary where my house is.

I'm just wondering how easy those islands are without a car and whether it's needed to have a car on them to properly explore...

Any advice or recommended places to visit on the islands is greatly appreciated :)
