Help decide between starting Ascendant RF vs Ele RF into HoT

Hi guys,

With limtited hours to play and having to play remotely on steam link, I will have to play a 0button walking simulator/autobomber this league like RF/DO Occy/HoT autobomber. I've never started such a build before, but have certainly enjoyed them as a mapper/second character.

I'm leaning towards starting CaptainLance9's Ascendant RF, particularly because of the high ceiling, and ability to incrementally upgrade the character. But I'm afraid of how bad it will be on league start.

The other option I'm looking at is starting RF Elementalist from dslilly, and then maybe respec into HoT autobomber or maybe even DO Occoultist.

I'm afraid of how bad the ascendant will be. Will league starting it be a bad idea? Have anyone tried it before? Are there any better suggestions?

Please help me decide...
