Advice i wish i knew when starting KDP
So i started publishing in 2023 November but released my 1st books in December. Its been 1 year, 11 months, 21 days since then.
1.Quality over Quantity, when creating books i used to be more focused on quantity and the books would sale but the negayive reviews would roll in and kill any growth for the book and it would slowlt drop from daily sales to nothing, i even tried to revive 1 book with ads and lost 40 dollars to make 2 dollars and that customer also left a negative review. Ive since focused on hifh quality books and dropped releases to like 2 books per month or just 1 and the reviews have changed. Once they get good reviews they start to grow on theire own. One book od mine my best selling book to date has made 700 dollars i release it in January and its been growing and i know its gonna pass 1k this Q4
2.Q4 is the best time to publish last year o made 240 dollars in December, November i had 110 and the month before 64 dollars and this was the time i found my niche and started working on buildinf a brand, i still am but now i have 32 Amazon followers which does boost my ego a bit but helps with getting intial sales to tell Amazon this book is worth being pushed out to more people.
3.Persistence, I started in Nov 2023 like i said earlier but made my 1st sale in May 2024 where i made 94 cents. And from there it showed me that if i can make that 94cents whats stopping me from making thousands
4.Small Wins Matter, I saw someone post here about wanting the reddit members to leave reviews and my message to those people or people without reviews wair dor your 1st organic review and see. Thats the best feedback you can receive on what you are doing right or what needs work. It doesnt matter whether its a 1 star or 5 stars it should pish you to make your next book better than the previous
This is just my personal experience and if you want to see my earnings thats my link to my youtube channel where i post real honest data not the thousands per month fake gurus preach but my small figures which add up as annual earnings and push me to want to create more. And pls do mind the spellings and errors my auto correct was off when typing
