I feel like the 3a Lite is so close to being a decent product
I don’t really like the idea of a really budget nothing phone cause I feel like it cheapens the brand and makes CMF kind of obsolete but the idea is still salvageable. If they made it ~6 inches, gave it one decent camera, maybe made it lighter and thinner and kept everything else the same, I feel like it would be a decent product. Call it the Nothing Lite or the Nothing 3 Lite and you have a cheap, small entry level phone for people looking to try out the brand without committing to a £350+ price tag. It would look sleek and simple, but ironically simple is pretty unique nowadays especially in the budget phone market.
This phone however, with its ugly name just feels so misguided from nothing. It feels like a budget phone. Overcompensating with the 3 cameras and the massive 6.7 inch screen. It’s not even a bad phone, it looks very good for the price but from a marketing perspective it just feels so wrong. After a pretty meh flagship, the last thing the brand needed was a repurposed budget phone. Also how are you gonna call out MKBHD for calling you a budget phone company and then release 3 budget phones and 1 flagship in a year.
