Am I the only one annoyed by the finicky turn signal?

After changing lanes, my turn signal doesn't switch off. And because of the way the turn signal mechanism doesn't really have a solid mechanical "notch" for me to click back into the opposite direction after I complete my lane change, I find I have to keep lightly tapping in the opposite direction which doesn't work. Often times I manage to turn the opposite turn signal on because I went to far which I'm sure makes me look like a crazy person on road with my turns signals going left/right/left/right...

Is there a button or something to just turn off the signal when I'm done changing lanes?
