This sub is becoming unbearable to me..

As the title states, this sub is just becoming miserable to me. It seems like since the game was destined to be so good, people are nit picking everything they can to have a different opinion. For starters, I agree with many of your complaints! But, I don’t agree with the way people are complaining, if that makes sense?

I feel like most people in this sub are relatively new fans pretending to be og fans, or they’re looking at Battlefield with their nostalgic glasses on and it’s evident. Let me explain:

Bugs: Yes, there are many bugs in BF6 that need to be addressed. UI issues, challenge progression bugs, bloom issues, etc. These do NEED to be fixed. But, it seems like you guys keep condemning the game and praising old titles, while ignoring ALL of the GAME BREAKING bugs that our classic Battlefields had at launch! BF3 was filled with gameplay bugs, matchmaking and server issues, audio issues and more. BF4 launched with GAME BREAKING bugs that were crashing everyone’s game. Server issues, weapon issues, audio issues, stun grenades crashing whole lobbies and more! Everyone still holds those games in high regard over 6, why? Because DICE LISTENED AND EVENTUALLY FIXED THOSE BUGS, BUT YOU PEOPLE ARE FORGETTING THAT BUGS WERE A THING! I’ll touch on this point later when i talk about potential. A person on steam reviews changed his review to “Not recommended” because it took him too long to complete a challenge. So because it took you a bit long to finish a challenge, you leave a review of “Not recommended”.. steering people away from buying the game.. for that? People do not understand how good we have it compared to other game titles that are released with TERRIBLE bugs!

Skins and Monetization: Do i even have to spend much time on this one? This correlates to when i said “i don’t agree with the way people are complaining”. A lot of you are exaggerating the skins and making it seem like it’s a DEAL BREAKER for you and you no longer want to play the game. Does anyone not find this as ridiculous as i do? THERE ARE ONLY SO MANY OPERATIONAL CAMOS THAT YOU CAN WEAR. Eventually, they have to add skins that are essentially not realistic to real life! If they only focused on realism, they’d run out of camos to create!

Now, I do NOT agree with the new norm of games have battle passes and skins, but you guys are treating EA like they’re the only publisher who does it! In my opinion, DICE has no control over what their publisher says they have to put in the game! So let’s stop condemning DICE over SKINS and let’s stop making the game seem so unplayable over something so MINISCULE! At least we don’t have a damn NICKI MINAJ skin in our game! Sadly, battle passes have become the norm for most AAA games. Do i think we should drop the practice? Yes. But making Battlefield seem like a bad game over it is ridiculous to me. Vote with your wallets and don’t buy the pass on ANY game. Companies will eventually stop that madness.

Maps and Game Speed: Now I do agree, we need bigger maps! Do i think the maps are too small? Essentially, no. It’s the increase in MOVEMENT SPEED and game speed that makes the maps feel so small. Players are sprinting 2-3x faster than the sprint speed in old FPS games and some of the spawn points in say, breakthrough, are way too close to the point. We could use a QOL fix on that. But, once again, you guys seem to keep forgetting the REALITY of old Battlefield games. For example, Metro and Locker. So many of you are saying don’t add those in because they’re meat grinder maps and not “Battlefield maps”. Battlefield became so popular BECAUSE OF THE MEAT GRINDER MAPS. EVERY BATTLEFIELD HAS MULTIPLE MEAT GRINDER MAPS. Metro, Locker, Pearl Market, the list goes on. So, let’s stop trying to say “BF is becoming a cod clone” when it has ALWAYS HAD THESE STYLE OF MAPS. In terms of becoming a “COD Clone” due to faster paced combat.. EVERY SINGLE MODERN FPS THATS NOT A MILSIM, HAVE ALL BECOME FASTER PACED! Games evolve just like humans do!

Potential: Here’s where I’d like to end off, on a more positive note. I just want you guys to calm down a tad bit and understand the POTENTIAL this game has. The reason i say that is: Many of you forget the bugs each classic BF originally launched with. Because you are forgetting this, you’re condemning BF6 and praising older BF’s.. when we’re only TWO WEEKS into the game. The only reason you PRAISE the older titles, is because DICE LISTENED to our complaints and eventually FIXED those issues and that’s why we hold those games in such high regard. DICE IS HAS LISTENED TO US AND GAVE US ANOTHER MODERN SHOOTER AND DICE IS LISTENING TO US ABOUT THE SKINS AND FIXING IT, GIVE THEM A CHANCE! If we give BF6 a chance the way we did with 3 and 4, this game has potential to be a BF classic!

Can we please be more positive and at least less CONDEMNING when it comes to our negative feedback? Negative feedback for gaming culture is ESSENTIAL, but you guys are taking very miniscule issues and making the game seem unplayable due to them.

It’s becoming miserable.
