Sweep and Labour results

Hello 👋 I'm almost 39 weeks and had a cervical check to see if it was possible to do a sweep. I was told my cervix is still closed so they would not be able to do it yet. I am wondering if anyone has been told similar and then gone I to labour that evening or a couple days after? I have heard sometimes the cervical check can stimulate things so just wanted to hear people's experiences. Thanks!
