If I use a Pure Hogyoku to max out my vizard does it start Horn of Salvation quest? And if so how do I get rid of it as I want to Vastorage?

I'm just unsure whether to trade for a Pure Hogyoku or not because I want to do Vastorage but I don't know if it starts the quest or just maxes out vizard
