First UTI

hello i’m 17 and i believe im experiencing my first UTI. it hurts terribly when i pee and i’m peeing literally so much that i’m waking up out of my sleep to do so and when i wake up i have excruciating pain in my lower abdomen. I told my mom about it but she literally told me to just drink a lot of water but i’ve done some research and it says the UTI can progress into a kidney infection and i’m not sure what to do. i see a lot of women say use dmannose supplements and drink a lot of water but im not sure it’s going to cure it and once again my mom isn’t concerned enough to take me to the doctor so idk what to do. if you have any suggestions please let me know it hurts so bad.
