Stacked Deck farming early - RF Chief or RF Ele?

Help Needed

I'm a bit of a noob, I'd like to get more experienced players' takes.

I'd like to start the league farming Cloister scarabs / stacked decks (8-mod T16).

RF chief is the obvious answer. RF doesn't care about prox shields and hinekora explode / ignite prolif takes care of the rest.

I'm close to baiting myself into attempting to do this with RF Ele instead, for the increased AoE and flexibility to swap of Ele (don't want to level more than 1 char). But for farming decks it's likely a worse choice for a number of reasons:

  • much squishier than Chieftain
  • no inbuilt explode, you need a 5d (or more given unique farms were nerfed) flask for it
  • harder to get ignite prolif
  • messed up harder by map mods - ele res, exposure block, etc

The positives are not as amazing:

  • faster/more comfy campaign and early maps
  • more damage -> much faster at killing bosses
  • can switch to one of the many meta Ele builds when RF starts to fall off

I know rationally that chief is just the better choice. But subjectively I'm just baited by the higher damage and radius of Ele, and the ability to switch to more builds than just RF/CWS. I'm going to try to make it work with the breach bloodline phys convert and other convert sources, and hope to get Oriath's End soon.

Is my plan totally horrid and should I just go RF Chief? Or is there a way to make it work on meh gear with RF Ele? Any ways you guys see to make RF Ele tanky against Doedre's Devoted mobs (afaik a lot of physical ranged hits at once)?
