Rescue CRV or LEt It Die... ?

Question ❔

I bought a 2002 CRV AWD with over 212,000 kilometers (approx. 131,700 miles), which was a relatively cheap purchase for my country: 43,000 MXN (approx. $2,320 USD).

However, a few days later (less than a month), the engine seized up. When the mechanic checked the vehicle, we noticed that the rear differential and the driveshaft connecting to the transmission were missing, meaning it only has front-wheel drive.

Besides the obvious engine problem, the SUV also needs bodywork repair on the front end because it was in an accident, and it needs new lights, door locks, and other miscellaneous things...

I'm talking about investing more than 30,000 MXN (approx. $1,620 USD) into it. Selling it for scrap will only get me back 20,000 MXN (approx. $1,080 USD).

What would be worth it? Should I sell it and recover the little money I can, or keep it, fix it, and use it for many years? At least five?

TLDR: I'm an idiot and my mistake will cost me a lot of money.
