chronic illness in the er

I have chronic bronchitis - have had for a very long time and i just wanna know why the emergency medicine community is so stereotypical of chronic illnesses when its something people genuinely struggle with and affects their entire lives…idk man doesnt take much to have some sympathy. And im not trying to be mean but why does ci have so much prejudice in the er community? Js wanna know
