Does anybody else have bad hair genetics

nobody in my family has hair past shoulder length and mine has stayed the same length for forever

I really wish I could have long pretty hair, it seems like such a ridiculous thing.

and i wish my hair was nice and straight, i have really wavy unruly hair that i never feel like it looks good
