Help with an episode.

I don't know if it's one of the VHS or one of the other anthologies but my brain is broken and I've tried to Google every permutation of what I'm thinking of and I cannot find the episode I'm looking for.

There are some ridiculously smart people here and I need your help before I go nuts.

What I remember about this "episode/segment" is that it was a completely different concept. There was no video or images on the screen per se. The entire thing was done by either text messages or voicemail messages and they were written on the screen and there was wild colors and lines and stuff in the background that would go with the people's voices like audio waves. The story had something to do with a guy and he drove away but he was gone for months but in his mind he was only gone for an hour. The longer he was gone, the longer the time was so he thought he was only gone at first for an hour but it was a month and then the next time he got a hold of somebody he thought it was only another hour but it was like a year, stuff like that.

That's it, that's all I've got.

Please, some smart person here put me out of my misery and tell me what it was so I can go back and watch it again and get it out of my brain.
