Found fleas, what measures should I go to (no pet)

I recently had a dog pass away about 3 weeks ago. We found one or two fleas crawling on him before he passed. Without thinking, my sentimental nature got the best of me and I kept his bed in the house. This morning I had a couple bites and discovered one flea in my bed and looked very carefully for anymore fleas, flea dirt or eggs and didn’t find any. I took my socks off and saw one jump out. But i walked around on the carpets with white socks for awhile and didn’t see anything jump on my feet or ankles

I removed the dog bed and I’m currently washing all my sheets and clothing, and vacuuming but I’m not sure if I need to set off a flea bomb to fully alleviate the problem. I know they will bite me but can they live without their preferred host? Or will they die off on their own without a pet in the house?
