Trying to do my bit after the Udio news

💡 Tips

Like everyone else, I’m still wrapping my head around what just happened with Udio.
No warning, no heads-up — and suddenly people’s songs and downloads are just gone. It sucks, and it’s honestly shaken my trust a bit.

I’ve been working quietly on a small side project called RetroWave, and after today I figured I’d share it. It’s not some big company thing — just a simple place where people can keep and share their music safely.

You can import tracks from Suno, Udio, or MP3, and they stay yours.

  • Free accounts (up to 30 tracks)
  • Upload MP3s up to 20 MB
  • Auto-fills title, artist, duration, and cover where it can
  • Make tracks public or keep them private
  • You can still download your own uploads
  • Everything’s stored and streamed through a CDN, not locked behind anyone’s API

I built it because I don’t think creators should ever lose access to their own music.
And honestly, after today, I’m starting to worry that Suno might end up going down a similar road — I really hope that doesn’t happen, but it’s made me think about how fragile all of this is.

If you just want a safe spot to keep your songs alive, maybe this helps a little:

No pitch, no agenda — just trying to do something useful for the community after a pretty rough day.

Feel free to head over and start uploading your tracks — let’s try and take some control back.
