Can't use the scale and I'm losing my mind over potential weight gain
Hey everyone,
I never realized how much I depended on the scale until I broke my ankle six weeks ago. Recovery is going okay, but not being able to weigh myself properly is driving me absolutely insane.
I've tried standing on it with one foot, but I get totally inconsistent numbers (sometimes a 15lb difference) or just straight-up error messages because the weight isn't distributed evenly.
I'm so terrified that I'm gaining weight and losing all the progress I've worked so hard for. I know my appetite has been consistent, and I'm doing what I can (mostly upper body and core work), but the lack of that solid number is making me feel like I'm spiraling.
Has anyone else dealt with this during an injury? How did you cope with the lack of data and manage the fear of backsliding? Any non-scale victory suggestions would be huge right now.
