First time fabric painter! Nervous! Advice?

Discussion/Question/Help

Are there any noob mistakes?

It doesn't LOOK complicated, but many things in life have depth to them that goes largely unnoticed until it's too late ๐Ÿ˜…

What would be most helpful imo would be something like that thing tattoo artists put on your skin before they use the needle.

Like, is there anything not permanent I can use to draw on the fabric first and have the outlines done, then trace them with the paint?

The fabric is 100% polyester, it's satin, and it's red. I'd call it candy apple red.

If it makes a difference, it's the shinier side I'm gonna be drawing on. I noticed the other side is more dull. Might have different physical properties.
