No more buyback for the battery recall?

I finally received a letter from Nissan saying that my 2022 Leaf is also potentially affected by the battery issue, and I shouldn't fast-charge my car. Since I need to use DCFC pretty regularly, I contacted a lawyer to get help for buyback. But, they said Nissan no longer buybacks the affected Leafs, but offer a compensation ($10k) instead. Is it really the case? Has anyone successfully have Nissan offer a buyback option for their Leaf recently? Or, has anyone received a compensation instead?
