I need advice on recovering money lent to someone who stopped paying interest.
Hey everyone,
So, back in February 2024, I lent someone ₹1,00,000 with a 10% monthly interest rate. They paid the interest regularly for a few months, but then, after June 2024, they stopped altogether. I’ve been trying to get in touch with them a few times, but I only managed to get a small portion of the principal back in January 2025.
I’ve now put together a legal notice asking them to pay the remaining amount within 10 working days. I was wondering what’s the best way to send it- should I use an advocate, or is registered post a better option? Also, if they still don’t pay, what should I do next legally?
Any advice or experience you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
