Pregabalin Question

I’m writing this as this mediation is associated with my clonazepam RX. So I’ve been on clonazepam for like 18 years and was once on very high doses along with Xanax. Now I’m on a much lower dose 1.5mg daily. I notice that on occasions when I take extra…even up to say 4mg. This is very rare but have done so. I don’t feel really a whole heck of a lot. So I stopped bothering take extra prns all together (which is obviously good) I am prescribed 150mg Pregabalin twice a day. I notice that when I take more Pregabalin, I really feel it’s nice calming yet energetic effects. I’m wondering why would this be? I know that the effects will be short lived due to rapid tolerance if I do that regularly so I maybe take extra once or twice a month . maximum,
