Anyone else's partner getting a vasectomy while you're still pregnant?

Question

I (34f) and my husband (35m) have a 2.5 year old son and I am due in mid December with a baby girl. My husband brought up the conversation a few weeks ago about getting a vasectomy this year since all of our health insurance is maxed out and we can only afford two kids.

Honestly, I am so proud of him for taking the initiative, scheduling a consultation, and setting appointment for the end of November. This should be the standard for men! He very openly tells others he is doing this because he wants to do his part and getting my tubes tied is a bigger procedure.

I see so many negative posts about crappy men that I wanted to share what a pretty normal marriage should be like. My husband isn't perfect, neither am I. We love our family and know that we can provide a wonderful middle-class life with two kids.
