I spend most of my work life inside Google Workspace - Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Moved to Microsoft Exchange for 6 years and came back to Google Workspace.

And even after 16+ years, I realized I was only using 4-5 shortcuts at max. Not because I didn’t want to - but because remembering dozens of them across apps is just… not realistic.

So I vibe coded something for myself and used it for months - loved it. Later decided to build a proper one from scratch, and launched it today. We call it: Accelerator Keys by 8apps.

It’s a lightweight Chrome extension that helps you learn and use shortcuts as you work - without leaving your document.

Here’s what it does:

⚡ Opens an on-screen overlay of all available shortcuts (just press Alt on Windows or Option on Mac)

⚡ Shows shortcut sequences visually - one key at a time. Just like Accelerator Keys on Windows

⚡ Works across Gmail, Meet, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides

⚡ Helps you navigate menus, insert rows, export files, and more - without memorizing anything
