is it bad that my parents had a camera in my bedroom? for 3 years?

they put it in there because i reported suicidal thoughts. i still deal with them to this day. And the only reason it's not there is that it broke and I never said anything. I was 11 when they put it up (6th grade, after my first psych ER trip) and now I'm 14 (on my 8th psych ER trip) It wasn't just to make sure I didn't hurt myself; they'd check it periodically like i'm a caged animal or something. Also as a way to tell me to hush if I was too loud.

is this weird? i'm on the fence, I can't decide.
