Over 1,300 Fake Domains Impersonating Gucci, Prada, and Rolex Discovered Before Holiday Season

Researchers at BforeAI have discovered 1,330 suspicious domains, including 1,200+ impersonating 23 top luxury brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Rolex — all created between August and September 2025.

A spike of 800 domains registered in late September indicates a coordinated campaign likely preparing for large-scale phishing and counterfeit operations during the holiday season.

Many of these domains remain inactive but are filled with keywords like “outlet,” “vip,” and “store”, designed to deceive shoppers into believing they are authentic. Some even blend scam e-commerce and gambling schemes using luxury branding as bait.

This surge highlights serious threats to both consumers and brands - from data theft to loss of trust and revenue.
