Hubs Feature Request: Migration Path from Existing Conversations to Hubs
Congrats to the Genspark team on launching Hub. It has the potential to be a better version of ChatGPT Projects and is the kind of organizational structure power users like to see. I'm already planning how to structure my workflows around it.
I've been using Genspark heavily for the past several months across multiple fintech projects. Each conversation has accumulated significant context — uploaded financial models, compliance documents, analysis reports, generated presentations, and custom instructions refined over dozens of iterations.
Now that Hubs exist, I would love to migrate my existing work into properly organized project spaces. But it does not look like there's a clear path to do the following:
- Transfer existing conversations (with full history) into a Hub
- Migrate all uploaded files from a conversation into Hub storage
- Move AI-generated documents/outputs into the appropriate Hub
- Preserve the context and custom instructions that have been built up
Even a "Move to Hub" option on existing conversations would be game-changing.
Starting fresh means losing all that context or manually reconstructing it, which defeats the efficiency Hub is designed to provide, and candidly, I am probably not going to do that.
For me specifically: I manage multiple fintech client engagements, each with their own data sets, compliance requirements, and deliverables. Right now, those are scattered across individual conversations. Hub is perfect for this — if I can consolidate existing work rather than choosing between fragmented old work or context-less new starts.
Maybe a "Conversation Settings" menu with "Move to Hub" option? Or a Hub creation flow that asks "Import from existing conversation?"
I know Hub just launched and you're iterating rapidly, but as a fan of Genspark, I wanted to flag this early since I imagine other users see the potential value. Appreciate everything the team is building here. Genspark has become central to how I operate.
Would love to hear if this is on the roadmap or if others are feeling the same need.
