[Quantum] - An introduction to Qubitcoin $QTC [r/qubitcoinofficial]. Layer 1 co-founded by MIT & Vanderbilt PhDs.

Hi!

I am posting this here for anyone who has an interest in Quantum Computing and blockchain technology.

We have today launched a community-managed sub for Qubitcoin [$QTC] and for anyone interested, please show some support over at r/qubitcoinofficial .

What is Qubitcoin?

Qubitcoin ($QTC) is a cryptocurrency that uses blockchain technology to power distributed quantum simulation and computation on the Superquantum Network.

The network's consensus mechanism, called Quantum Proof of Work (qPoW), uses quantum circuit execution as a form of "work" that is both a security measure and a useful computation, aligning with scientific progress.

Technology:-

Qubitcoin is built on the Superquantum Network, a Layer 1 blockchain that runs quantum circuits on classical hardware, like GPUs, to enable quantum computing simulations.

Consensus Mechanism:-

Instead of traditional, purposeless work like solving a hash puzzle, QTC's mining process involves verifiable scientific computation. This "Quantum Proof of Work" (qPoW) involves miners solving quantum tasks, which helps advance quantum simulation techniques. By default, Nvidia's CuQuantum library is selected.

Token Utility:-

The QTC token is used for several purposes on the network;

Reward token: Distributed to contributors for their work.

Utility token: Used to submit simulation tasks. Staking token:

Used by validators to verify the results of jobs and maintain network integrity.

Qubitcoin uses Bitcoin's source code, with added functionality of using optimized libraries (such as Nvidia's CuQuantum, and others) to solve quantum problems. Each time a quantum task is solved, the miners benefit by obtaining QTC.

Core Team:-

Core team:

Mikhail Shalaginov: A co-founder of Superquantum, postdoctoral researcher at MIT, with expertise in quantum and optics technology.

MIT Profile: https://web.mit.edu/mys/www/

Daniil Shatokhin: A co-founder of Superquantum and student of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Vanderbilt University.

David Nizovsky: Founder of Vanderbilt Quantum Initiative, Vanderbilt student and a Yale University Quantum Award winner.

More information can be found at https://superquantum.io/ (Research Lab, see Projects > Qubitcoin) and on Medium, YT, Telegram etc.

I have also provided a link below to the team's most recent YT video. It is an interesting watch.
